The HIMILO Foundation in The Netherlands was established in 2006 and is member of the FSAN (Federation of Somali Association Netherlands). The organisation supports the Somali community by way of community development programmes and capacity building activities. The HIMILO Foundation also has very good relationships with the Sudan, Sierra Leone and Ethiopia communities. Several HIMILO members have been trained by FSAN and Pharos as key figures in the fight against FGM.
