Akina Dada wa Africa

Akina Dada wa Africa, a vibrant national network of migrant women making Ireland their home. In Swahili, Akina Dada wa Africa translates to “sisterhood,” representing the strong bond that unites us all.

For more than two decades, AkiDwA has emerged as a trailblazing NGO, championing the rights and concerns of migrant women in Ireland. Our dedication to shedding light on these important issues has earned us widespread recognition and respect.

At AkiDwA, we believe in the power of solidarity and collaboration. Together, we empower migrant women, amplify their voices, and foster positive change in Irish society.

AkiDwA has a network of volunteer community health ambassadors throughout Ireland raising awareness on FGM in their local communities.
