Last October 4, 2016 Fondazione L’Albero della Vita Onlus took part in the Salone della CSR e dell’Innovazione Sociale with a conference about the role of the private sector in preventing FGM. After the CSR Network Webinar, the conference has been the 2nd step of the CSR involvement process.
During the conference, the protagonists explained the reason why female genital mutilation are also a European issue and how much important the private sector’s action can be.
The message is clear: working together to defend female and children rights sharing opportunities and strategies. The aim is: informing, sensitizing and preventing.
Companies can become Change Agents following three directions:
• disseminating messages elaborated by the protagonists of the project;
• Implementing supporting and informative activities in favor of their own employees and territories;
• Supporting migrant’s associations in performing co-development activities.
Next step for companies will take place on February 2017 with an operative workshop using Theory of Change approach. The aim will be design tailored way for each company to strengthen its engagement.
